Tap is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes with metal taps on the soles striking the floor as a form of percussion. Various movements of the feet are put together to learn specific steps and create a clear sound, rhythm and beat.
There are several major variations on tap dance including: rhythm (jazz) tap. classical tap, Broadway tap and post-modern tap. We focus on two styles of Tap dance which is rhythmic and Broadway.
Even though the sounds come from a dancers feet, Tap Dance class is still a full body workout.
